Lately the Voice has started. Which if you don't know already is like American Idol... only different. Anyways, it's been really fun to watch because there are so many amazing singers.

2 DAYS LEFT OF SCHOOL!! Can you believe it? It seems like just yesterday I was starting 6th grade and I hated middle school so much. Now it's so fun. I'm gunna miss a lot of people. Hopefully I will see them next year or in the summer or at the pool. Ya neva know! Plus there has been no homework and it's just a blessing. Man, am I glad we got no more tests, no more work, just having fun.

This week has taken forever to go by! I don't know if it's just me or what but weekends are too short! Ahhhhhhh! I have school tomorrow:( Let's see..... almost 2 weeks left of school! Yes, almost there. Okay so our science teacher is so nice and she was like "Were going to run out of school year and we won't be able to fit in that final, I'm so sorry. Is everyone okay with that?" And everyone but 2 people were okay with it. We were so happy because she had told us that we would have to study really hard because there were 100 questions on the test over everything we'd learned. I mean how horrible is that. But I was so so so thankful! I jumped up and gave her a hug! Oh also in Spanish our teacher was like we aren't going to finish this chapter so there will be no test over it. I we were so happy! Yes I love my teachers. They are the best!

I just came back from state meet with my best buds Bailey and Juliana. Love them! :D And I did so well. It's amazing how much I've improved over the year! :D But school is coming to an end (almost) YAY! But I am ready for the summer. Oh yah. Also saw Soul Surfer, so inspiring. Gave me a new perspective on life and how much I have that I don't even realize. CAUTION: you will cry. But it's worth it. Happy ending. Good christian story. Can feel her pain, and just shows to us how much good can come out of bad things and that God has a plan.

'Let me explain the problem science has with religion.'The atheist
professor of philosophy pauses before his class and then asks one of
his new students to stand.

'You're a Christian, aren't you, son?'

'Yes sir, 'the student says.

'So you believe in God?'

'Absolutely.'

  Is God good?'

  'Sure! God's good.'

  'Is God all-powerful? Can God do anything?'

  'Yes'

  'Are you good or evil?'

  'The Bible says I'm evil.'

The professor grins knowingly. 'Aha! The Bible! He considers for a
moment. 'Here's one for you. Let's say there's a sick person over here
and you can cure him. You can do it. Would you help him? Would you
try?'

'Yes sir, I would.'

'So you're good...!'

'I wouldn't say that.'


'But why not say that? You'd help a sick and maimed person if you
could. Most of us would if we could. But God doesn't.'


The student does not answer, so the professor continues. 'He doesn't,
does he? My brother was a Christian who died of cancer, even though he
prayed to Jesus to heal him. How is this Jesus good? Can you answer
that one?'


The student remains silent. 'No, you can't, can you?' the professor
says. He takes a sip of water from a glass on his desk to give the
student time to relax. 'Let's start again, young fella. Is God good?'

'Er..yes,' the student says.

'Is Satan good?

The student doesn't hesitate on this one. 'No.'

'Then where does Satan come from?'

The student falters. 'From God'

'That's right. God made Satan, didn't he? Tell me, son. Is there evil
in this world?'

'Yes, sir..'

'Evil's everywhere, isn't it? And God did make everything, correct?

'Yes'

'So who created evil?' The professor continued, 'If God created
everything, then God created evil, since evil exists, and according to
the principle that our works define who we are, then God is evil.'

Again, the student has no answer. 'Is there sickness? Immorality?
Hatred? Ugliness? All these terrible things, do they exist in this
world?'

The student squirms on his feet. 'Yes.'

'So who created them?'

The student does not answer again, so the professor repeats his
question. 'Who created them?' There is still no answer. Suddenly the
lecturer breaks away to pace in front of the classroom. The class is
mesmerized. 'Tell me,' he continues onto another student. 'Do you
believe in Jesus Christ, son?'

The student's voice betrays him and cracks. 'Yes, professor, I do.'

The old man stops pacing. 'Science says you have five senses you use
to identify and observe the world around you. Have you ever seen
Jesus?'

'No sir. I've never seen Him.'

'Then tell us if you've ever heard your Jesus?'

'No, sir, I have not..'

'Have you ever felt your Jesus, tasted your Jesus or smelt your Jesus?
Have you ever had any sensory perception of Jesus Christ, or God for
that matter?'

'No, sir, I'm afraid I haven't.'

'Yet you still believe in him?'

'Yes'

'According to the rules of empirical, testable, demonstrable protocol,
science says your God doesn't exist... What do you say to that, son?'

'Nothing,' the student replies.. 'I only have my faith.'

'Yes, faith,' the professor repeats. 'And that is the problem science
has with God. There is no evidence, only faith.'

The student stands quietly for a moment, before asking a question of
His own. 'Professor, is there such thing as heat?'

'Yes.

'And is there such a thing as cold?'

'Yes, son, there's cold too.'

'No sir, there isn't.'

The professor turns to face the student, obviously interested. The
room suddenly becomes very quiet. The student begins to explain. 'You
can have lots of heat, even more heat, super-heat, mega-heat,
unlimited heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat, but we don't
have anything called 'cold'. We can hit down to 458 degrees below
zero, which is no heat, but we can't go any further after that. There
is no such thing as cold; otherwise we would be able to go colder than
the lowest -458 degrees. Every body or object is susceptible to study
when it has or transmits energy, and heat is what makes a body or
matter have or transmit energy. Absolute zero (-458 F) is the total
absence of heat. You see, sir, cold is only a word we use to describe
the absence of heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat we can measure in
thermal units because heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of
heat, sir, just the absence of it'

Silence across the room. A pen drops somewhere in the classroom,
sounding like a hammer.

'What about darkness, professor. Is there such a thing as darkness?'

'Yes,' the professor replies without hesitation.. 'What is night if it
isn't darkness?'

'You're wrong again, sir. Darkness is not something; it is the absence
of something. You can have low light, normal light, bright light,
flashing light, but if you have no light constantly you have nothing
and it's called darkness, isn't it? That's the meaning we use to
define the word. In reality, darkness isn't. If it were, you would be
able to make darkness darker, wouldn't you?'

The professor begins to smile at the student in front of him. This
will be a good semester. 'So what point are you making, young man?'

'Yes, professor. My point is, your philosophical premise is flawed to
start with, and so your conclusion must also be flawed.'

The professor's face cannot hide his surprise this time. 'Flawed? Can
you explain how?'

'You are working on the premise of duality,' the student explains...
'You argue that there is life and then there's death; a good God and a
bad God. You are viewing the concept of God as something finite,
something we can measure. Sir, science can't even explain a thought.'
'It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen, much less
fully understood either one. To view death as the opposite of life is
to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive
thing. Death is not the opposite of life, just the absence of it.'
'Now tell me, professor.. Do you teach your students that they evolved
from a monkey?'

'If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, young man,
yes, of course I do.'

'Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?'

The professor begins to shake his head, still smiling, as he realizes
where the argument is going. A very good semester, indeed.

'Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work and
cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavor, are you
not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you now not a scientist, but a
preacher?'

The class is in uproar. The student remains silent until the commotion
has subsided. 'To continue the point you were making earlier to the
other student, let me give you an example of what I mean..' The
student looks around the room. 'Is there anyone in the class who has
ever seen the professor's brain?' The class breaks out into laughter.
'Is there anyone here who has ever heard the professor's brain, felt
the professor's brain, touched or smelt the professor's brain? No one
appears to have done so. So, according to the established rules of
empirical, stable, demonstrable protocol, science says that you have
no brain, with all due respect, sir.' 'So if science says you have no
brain, how can we trust your lectures, sir?'

Now the room is silent. The professor just stares at the student, his
face unreadable. Finally, after what seems an eternity, the old man
answers. 'I Guess you'll have to take them on faith.'

'Now, you accept that there is faith, and, in fact, faith exists with
life,' the student continues. 'Now, sir, is there such a thing as
evil?' Now uncertain, the professor responds, 'Of course, there is. We
see it Everyday. It is in the daily example of man's inhumanity to
man. It is in The multitude of crime and violence everywhere in the
world. These manifestations are nothing else but evil.'

To this the student replied, 'Evil does not exist sir, or at least it
does not exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of God. It is
just like darkness and cold, a word that man has created to describe
the absence of God. God did not create evil. Evil is the result of
what happens when man does not have God's love present in his heart.
It's like the cold that comes when there is no heat or the darkness
that comes when there is no light.'

The professor sat down.

How you doing??? I'm doing good. But today I had gymnastics and I got a wrip. Ugh, if you don't know what they are they are when you are on bars and your skin wrips and sorta peels and you have to cut it off. Then tougher skin grows back so you will hopefully not get another one. So yah. I have one on my Left hand :'( But anyways are you luvin this weather or are you luvin this weather???

Lately I and a lot of other people have been on spring break! :DDDDD WOO HOO. And it has been so awesome. We have had 70-80+ degree weather and it has been great. I have been trying to convince myself that it is summer for about a week and a half. I know..... pathetic but it is how my mind works...... Yah so anyways I got a hair cut today.... and my hair smells really goooooddd..... yah she put in this Leave-In conditioner that smells really good...... so yah....... it smells gooooooddd........ But there is this new thing called "Feathers" (I know it is such a sophisticated word) and you put them in your hair (which is also sophisticated). SO yah they are the thing to have right now.... even if you're a dude! Just kidding but I don't know?!?!

Right now school is pretty boring but it is fine with me! ;) Actually though in Science, we are growing plants. Specifically tomatoes, sunflowers,  and zinnias. I love this idea because I love seeing flowers and the colors and smells and sometimes taste! So this is going to be really fun. We are growing them and observing them and at the end of the year we get to take some home and actually keep growing them which will be pretty cool. Speaking of the end of the year can you believe it it March? That is 2 months away from May and that is when school is over!!!!!!!!!! WOOOOOOO Which is pretty cool to think about if you are a student. Just wanted to remind you about that so yah! I am really excited for summer because I NEED my tan. (If you know what I am saying) but I just miss the days at the pool (which was almost everyday) and swimming and having friends over! Without having school the next day :( Have a good day!

Anyways, this week has been crazy with a bug going around in my school and family :( I have been sick with a cold but am better now. Not completely recovered but getting there. I have to get a tooth pulled out and whenever I think about it I start freaking out. It is coming out tomorrow and I am not happy about it. I am happy about having this tooth out making my braces deadline shorter! So the sooner I get my braces off the better!!! :D  But I wish my tooth would come out naturally. People that have gotten there tooth pulled out say it doesn't hurt at all but I don't like blood and I don't like shots or needles. They creep me out even though you can barely feel them. So they have to give me a shot in my mouth to numb me up and that just sounds wrong to me! I mean wouldn't that hurt like A LOT since your gum is so sensitive and blah blah blah but I don't want to get a shot in my mouth!!!!! :( but i have to. The sooner the better I get this tooth out I don't have to worry about anything in my brace process because that is the last procedure they have to do!!!! :D So all I have left is to get a bracket on all my teeth and let them come together completely straight and get the braces off and then wear a retainer at night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well that is what I hope. I hope and pray nothing will go wrong and I will have clean, straight teeth!! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D But that is not always what happens unfortunately. So that is basically what is in my mind right now. I just had to get it out somehow. Also, since I've missed school Monday and Tuesday I have to make up tests and work. Not fun on my part. Oh well. I will get through it.

I just reached 1000 views and I think that is really cool :D A lot of things have been happening in my life right now so my posting will get a little sparsom. I don't think that is how you spell it but oh well. In school it seems just when you think there aren't any tests happening for awhile the next day you are told there is a test coming up! UGH. So yah. I am having some tests come up and it is hard to make myself study and if I don't. I end up procrastinating and learning everything the night before. Which ususally happens. Btw, my whole family has had a nasty bug going around from person to person and I was the last one to get it. So I am not feeling very good. :( Hopefully it will pass soon. How are you guys? or girls. Comment below which I doubt you will but do it and tell me if your life is as crazy as mine! :D

Hola! Today I am realizing my friends and my REAL friends.  There is no point to have lots of friends who don't really like you. I mean the definition of friends

a person who is on good terms with another; a person who is not hostile 

So there you go. Friends are there to help you, comfort you, and encourage you when you need it. If they don't like you there is no point in having them! They are good to have as long as they are REAL friends. Just needed to bring that up because there has been a lot of friend drama going on with me.

As we ALL know, parents send us to school for our benefit. Yea right! It only makes it harder on us. Drama and gossip fill the halls, tension and stress fill the classrooms. Tests take forever and sometimes there's so much talk that you just wanna rip out your hair. But somehow you make it through yet another day of torture. Break-ups, make-ups, and being torn between two. One friend goes one way, the other another. So many choices. You scream at your siblings at night. Treat them how you feel inside. But you and the people you travel around school with, get really close. You feel a bond because you've been through all kinds of things together. Bad test scores, mean teachers, and lots of homework! But yet in the end, most people say it's worth it. You find friends that you'll be with for life, people you'll love forever, and adults that are almost like family. So much of society relies on school. Your life relies on school. And without your education, you could be flipping hamburgers at  McDonald's. So go on, endure the endless annoyance, take the large sum of homework and make it worth it. This is your life, live it how you want!

Hello everyone! I am doing homework right now so I am just trying to find something to distract me :/ but you know! We had a gymnastics meet last Saturday-Sunday and I competed on Saturday. I got 3rd all around, 1st vault, 3rd Floor, 3rd Beam, and 5th Bars. It was a good meet I think personally but I need some work on bars! :) Where I live we have had crazy snow! We have already had 5 snow days and if we get another one we have to make it up :( but it's so weird because at the most we have 1 snow day a year and there has been so much snow this winter it is CRAZY! This has been an interesting winter from 70 degree weather to -9 degrees has happened all in the same month!  Can you believe it? WOW!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while! Well in a couple of days, but still. My week has been truly awesome. First of all we had 3 snow days in a row! Isn't that fantastic! My dad said it was like a record for the Wichita Public Schools. But my mom and I were thinking how the district needs to change its snow day policy. The only reason we had a snow day today is because of the cold temperature in the morning, and I think the district was concerned about the bus riders. Well, we think that is a parent based decision. If it is too cold to wait outside for the bus just have your parents take you to school! And then we thought, oh yah, some parents might be a work so we said well that is an excused absence, It's all good! So, that is my mom and I's opinion on the situation.  Talk to ya'lls later!

The Clique, this is a book I just finished and I wanted to tell the girls about it! This is a teenage girl book but you know there are just people out there that are interested in it. But anyways there is a series and this is the first book, so I am going to read the second one soon. I would recommend it because I thought it was really good. There is also a movie called the The Clique  and that is based off the book but it is different than the book.

I am reading this book called "Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul: The Real Deal; School; Cliques, Classes, Clubs and More" !!!!!! :D I think it is really good and would recommend it to any girl from middle school to high school!

Hello! How are my fellow readers? Well, I just finished the movie Julie&Julia and I would like to get my blog to a purpose. Not just my life. I mean, who wants to read about an average person's life! As on Julie&Julia, Julie creates a blog because she loves to cook and wants to learn more about it. She thought it would be fun to try out all the recipes in the book 'Mastering the Arts of French Cooking' by Julia Child and Simone Bett. So thats what her readers read about.
